Numbur Cheese circuit trekking is a newly explored trekking trail located in the central Himalayan region of Nepal, in Ramechhap district. The trail follows the same trail duo Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa had followed when they had summit to the Mt. Everest (8,848 m), the world highest peaks. You will not only have amazing mountain vistas but as the trail passes through the high mountain passes like Panch Pokhari pass (4,605 m), Gyajo La Pass (4,880 m) and explore the high mountain lakes namely Panch Pokhari (five-ponds), Jata Pokhari, Bhale Pokhari, Dudh Pokhari etc.
In addition, the trail also passes through charming Sherpa village, you will enjoy with local dishes and delicacies prepared by Sherpa ethnic communities and stroll around a number of Buddhist monasteries such as Thotung, Bhandar, Gumdel, Kyama, pass through delightful terraced farm field, and pass through yak pasture, taste yak cheese and also explore the glacial lake and glaciers like Linkhu Nup glacier, Bigphere Go glacier, Likhu Glacier etc. Similarly, you will follow really the off the beaten trekking route, steamy jungle full of flora and fauna, the region is home to over 300 species of birds including pheasants, musk deer, red panda, Himalayan Thar, snow leopard and no doubt has full of fabulous rhododendron flower, which offers you an opportunity to take snaps, including of wild animals like elusive leopard to name a few.
Numbur Cheese Circuit trek no doubt is connected with two-beautiful river valleys--Khimti and Likhu, in the lap of Everest and Rolwaling region. The trekkers really enjoy with stunning views of mountain vistas including of Mt. Langtang, Jugla Himal, Gaurishankar, Numburchuli and fully greeted with snow-capped towering peaks--Pathibhara Numburchuli (6,959 m), Paniyo Tapa (6,696 m), Ramdung Peak (5,930 m), Chukhima Go (6,259 m) and many more.
Numbur Cheese circuit trek begins with one day drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya and continue trekking to Khahare, crossing charming Sherpa villages alongside of panipakha, Maanedanda and finally reach at Panch Pokhari, you will stroll around and explore the mountain lakeside and continue to Jata Pokhari which is located at the lap of lofty peak Numburchuli and descend down to Tare, Ngeju, Lahaksewar, Kyama, continue trekking to Gumdel, Serding, Lapchane, Those and then drive back to Kathmandu.
