Saribung trek is one of the recently explored trek in which you will navigate around the Saribung peak (6,346 m) the most recently opened and explored peaks for trekking and climbing in Nepal, located to the western part of the country in Mustang region. The trek was explored only in 2006. It is really off the beaten track, lies in the isolated and least crowded and recently explored trekking destination in the foothills of Damodar Himal (6,358 m), near the Damodar Kund (a sacred pond located at (4,890 m) border with Nepal-Tibet. The route winds its way through the villages and valleys of upper Mustang--a hidden and mysterious part of the country and Lo Manthang an ancient walled city, with its palace and ancient monastery, from where you will have awesome and captivating views of the Annapurna Himalayan range. The trekking trail is popular for having breath taking natural natural scenery, unique culture, rituals and lifestyles of people living in the western region, who have their distinct culture, and lifestyles and their hardship in the arduous environment no doubt is worth exploring and memorable in lifetime and no doubt, you will ultimately have adventurous trip, as you climb up to the snow-filled mountain peak, Saribung peak (6,346 m) and have amazing mountain vistas.
Saribung trek begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, subsequently to Jomsom and then continues trekking to Kagbeni and tehn Chele, Geling, Tsarang and through Lo Manthang, enter into Dhi Gaon, Lury Gomba, Ghuma Tanti, Namta Khola and finally reach at Saribung base camp, where you will have a rest for one day for acclimatization and navigate around the Saribung peak and finally you will retrace back to Saribung base camp and then Nogaru, through Phu Gaon, you will enter in to Koto Manang and then via Jagat, you will finally get back to Besisahar and then drive back to Kathmandu.
